Bio

John Chambers writes humorous essays, novels, children's books, picture books, short stories, poems and songs and sometimes lets people read and hear them.

He has been an amateur musician, poet, supermarket cart/buggy fetcher, supermarket manager, college tutor, truck driver, salesman, clock maker, warehouse organizer, lawn mower pusher and once was hired to work at a produce stand but never showed up.

These days, he's a husband, father, a writer who would love to be an author, an amateur musician with slightly more ability than before, humorist and compulsive email checker. Also, he's spent the last 20 years avoiding the owner of the produce stand. John writes for both adults and children and is probably way too influenced by the likes of Dave Barry, Shel Silverstein, Rick Reilly and Daniel Pinkwater.

He spends his spare time appreciating things, playing poker for money (biggest win: $3.75) and waiting for the school bus.
